2 weeks of very good weather..and very small progress

Basically, in 2 weeks what has been done:

-Eaves

-Removal of main scaffolding

-Delivery of cladding

-Delivery of roof tiles for what's left to cover

-Roof rail installed

4 months have already passed since they started the construction...

On a eu 2 semaines de super beau temps et pas grand chose n'a ete fait:

- L'avant-toit a ete pose

- Le principal echafaudage enleve

- Livraison des plaques de fibres de ciment

- Livraison des tuiles restantes.

- Installation de la barriere autour de la toiture a couvrir.

Ca fait 4 mois qu'ils ont commence la construction.

Roof and lack of roof

I don't understand why the back of the house is not covered yet...i't's been raining a lot lately and the timber doesn't like it of course...

They managed to finish off the main part of the roof between 2 showers though...

La toiture est presque finie, mais on comprend pas trop pourquoi l'arriere de la maison n'a pas ete couverte.

Le bois n'aime pas ca et la moisissure commence a s'installer!

Roof tiles...Tuiles...

Jeudi et vendredi dernier, les 2 seuls jours secs depuis une semaine de pluie, ils ont fait une bonne partie de la toiture.

Il s'est remis a pleuvoir samedi, et apparemment il va pleuvoir toute la semaine prochaine!

They were able to put the sarking and most of the roof tiles between last Thursday and Friday (2 days with no rain!!)...the weather forecast is bad for next week...we'll see if they can finish between 2 showers!! (fingers crossed)

Rain...Pluie....

Il a plu pas mal ces derniers temps, alors le travail s'est un peu ralenti...

Les cheneaux sont montes, j'ai pas de photo parceque maintenant quand je vais voir la maison vers 17h30, il fait nuit! J'espere qu'il vont mettre le toit bientot...les tuiles sont livrees depuis vendredi dernier...on attend que la pluie s'arrete! En attendant, il pleut dans le salon!!!

We've had the roof tiles delivery last friday, but unfortunatly it's been raining a bit lately...

Gutters have been put up on Monday...just waiting for the sarking and the roof tiles to finally get a protection from the winter rain! :-(

Brickwork finished!

They finished the brickwork last friday.... The cladding will go over the green bit uncovered yet..

Ils ont fini de monter les briques vendredi dernier.

Les endroits "verts" qui ne sont pas recouverts, vont l'etre par des panneaux en fibre de ciment apres que le toit soit installe..

More brickwork...

It has been a slow week again... the reason given was that there is a shortage of brickies at the moment...There has been some progress though, more brickwork done.

Hopefully they keep working like last friday this coming week.

Il y a eu un peu de progres la semaine derniere, les briques montent petit a petit.

Apparemment il manque un peu de main d'oeuvre, c'est pourquoi on est un peu en retard.

Scaffolding going up ...

The scaffolding has been put up this week..and that's about it.

The windows haven't been replaced as I was told they would be 2 weeks ago!

I'm giving a call my SS tomorrow to check what's going on.

L'echafaudage est en place...
